One of the worst years in the history of the Fins left us all
shaking our heads, and wondering what’s next. Well…
we have our answer. Some will say that we should have hired someone
different for the job, or gone about the hiring process differently…
I ask WHY? Why be the team that passes on the hottest coach in
college football? The man that our highly respected enemy Belichick
calls a “genius”, and says that he (Belichick) has
learned more from Saban, than Saban has from him. Mr. H wanted
a man who ...[more]
What a season….
With all the things that have gone on this season, is has become
evident to me that there are very, VERY serious and deep reaching
issues going on in our franchise. The winingest franchise in the
NFL since the merger is coming up on in my opinion one of the most
important off seasons we have ever gone through. And surprisingly
enough in this crazy season we are in, something is happening that
is helping us prepare for it. That something is figuring out whether
or not AJ Feeley is going to be our QB of the future or not. In
my opinion we have our answer, and the answer is NO...[more]
WARNING: Beware of the Pittsburgh Steelers. They are a really
good football team. They have a young, aggressive defense, a punishing
running game and maybe the best receiving corps in the NFL. They
are led by rookie quarterback Ben Rothlesberger, who has yet to
experience the agony of defeat at the NFL level. The Steelers
may not be the best team in the NFL but they are close. t...[more]
Vince Lombardi once said "Some of us will do our jobs well
and some will not, but we will be judged by only one thing-the
result." He also said "Winning is not a sometime thing:
it's an all the time thing. You don't win once in a while; you
don't do the right thing once in a while; you do them right all
the time. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing."
Dolfans these quotes should be ringing in our ears every second
of the day. When I look at the organization of the Miami Dolphins,
I have to do a double take. I have to make sure that what I see
is really the Miami Dolphins. How has it come to all this?...[more]
Well, the first half of the season is almost over. I for one didn’t
think we be looking at the possibility of finishing the first half
at 1-7. But as of about 2 weeks ago, I didn’t know that we
would even have that 1 win. With the poor play of our O-line, and
the ridiculous decisions made by our QB, I think every fan can see
why I held that opinion.
There are however some bright spots after watching last weeks game.
I haven’t enjoyed watching a game that much in quite some
time. It was like we were a totally different team. From the coaching
staff, down through the players the team as a whole had a different
“buzz” around it...[more]
What a year. Oh wait, its only week 4. So we are 0-3, lost another
RB, signed another RB, switched QB’s twice, lost our inspired
Defensive Tackle. Placed our #1 draft pick on the inactive list.
Played two of our games, at a different time than scheduled. Can
it get worse??? That still remains to be seen, but what is for
sure is that we are in a real bind right now. I see this point
in the season as a cross-road. We can either try and play for
a Wild Card spot, which is obviously a stretch. Or we can play
for next year...[more]
With the latest loss to the Titans, many sports "experts" are
sticking with their theory that this team will have a horrible
year. I beg to differ. When evaluating the game on Saturday, there
were a couple of very encouraging things that I stumbled upon.
Many people liked to point out that we allowed too many rushing
yards, and our offense couldn't get going. I believe those two
factors, compounded with the record amount of penalties cost us
this game....[more]
The NFL’s leading rusher only two seasons ago, retires
because he wants to be free. Then the team that he’s “freed”
himself from wants their money back. So he wants to be in “captivity”
again? Am I the only one that saw this coming?...[more]
On August 20th -21st the Miami Dolphins
hosted the first annual Web Weekend. We at Fantasticfins.com cannot
describe the fun we had, nor can we describe the gratitude we
have towards the Dolphins and their ENTIRE staff. We arrived a
few days early and were totally taken care off. The staff showed
us a good time, and made the whole week a very enjoyable experience....[more]
